Overview

The VR Dissection Lab provides a tool that enables students to perform unlimited dissections on virtual specimens, including a worm, clam, crayfish, fish, and frog, ensuring mastery before working with real specimens, or replacing physical animals entirely. - Five specimens: Students have the ability to learn in-depth about the anatomy and perform comprehensive dissections on the following five animals: 1. Worm 2. Clam 3. Crayfish 4. Fish 5. Frog

The VR Dissection Lab empowers students to develop a comprehensive understanding of anatomy and physiology by exploring the structures and systems of a diverse range of specimens, including: worm, clam, crayfish, fish, and frog. Through precise manipulation of virtual tools and the ability to zoom in on key anatomical features, students gain a detailed understanding of how these organisms function and adapt to their environments. By comparing and contrasting different species, learners build a strong foundation in comparative anatomy, encouraging them to think critically about the similarities and differences across biological systems. This interactive and immersive approach ensures that students grasp complex concepts effectively and retain knowledge longer than with traditional methods.

Beyond mastering dissection techniques, the VR Lab promotes independent learning and inspires curiosity about the natural world. Students are encouraged to connect their virtual dissection experiences with broader ecological and biological principles, cultivating a lifelong passion for science and the natural world. The VR Dissection Lab prepares students for future scientific pursuits while instilling a sense of responsibility for preserving biodiversity.
